Things that grab my attention

Most of my time is consumed by school and work as of late, but I try to keep active, at least mentally in random projects.

I have a keen interest in photography. Ever since I got my first camera (a digital :-/) a couple of years ago I have taken many pictures of various things I have seen. I also like to edit the pictures I've taken in creative forms to build things such as collages or add effects such as sepia tones. I especially love to form panoramic images of a lot of the images I take using stitching software. Many of the pictures I have taken can be seen in my gallery linked above.

My love of photography has also led me to travel. I try to schedule 2 to 3 vacations a year to new places, most of which have been continental in the last few years; I have visited New York City, Atlanta, Chicago, Las Vegas, Pittsburgh and Kansas City. Once school is over I long to take a month long vacation abroad, to see something new afar. More to come later.

Web design is also something I love. For the last few years I have attempted many different approaches, learning different languages and standards. I started by learning HTML, which progressed to ASP and SQL, which led to PHP. My design methods used to be solely table based, but as of late I have been experimenting with Cascading Style Sheets; this site is one such project. In the future I really want to learn some JavaScript as I've seen some phenomenal, mostly by Google in their GMail and Gooogle Maps web applications.
